The Carlton Main Frickley Colliery Band, est. 1884, is one of the most famous and respected brass bands in the world.
As a non profit making organisation, the band simply could not exist without the aid of you, the supporters, and its principle sponsor, Ben Bailey Homes.
It was with this in mind that the ‘Friends of Frickley’ scheme was established. Members of the scheme are instrumental to the band’s continuing success and longevity, contributing in a one-off payment to the daily running costs of the band, allowing new music to be purchased as well as supporting coach/van hire, etc.
‘Friends of Frickley’ not only get much closer to the band’s activities but also help raise much needed funds for the band, reg. charity no. 1069109.
On becoming a ‘Friend of Frickley’ you would receive…
- Encore!’ , the bands’ very own quarterly Journal, giving details of future concerts and how to support them, reviews of recent competitions, and concerts, player profiles and more.
- Discounted Carlton Main CD’s from a selection;
- Discounts on Band merchandise and selected Concert tickets;

- Be able to purchase a wide range of band merchandise including Polo Shirts and Ties embossed with the band’s distinctive logo.
A one year’s Subscription membership costs only £12 for an individual or just £18 for the whole family!

You could become a Patron member for £25 annually.
Becoming a Patron of the Band carries the same benefits as being a Subscription member, but with the addition of seeing your name appear in a Patron’s section in ‘Encore!’ (unless you wish otherwise) as well as receiving a complimentary Carlton Main CD of your choice, and a complimentary pair of tickets to a selected concert!
